Listed below are suggested points for you to consider when establishing a scholarship through the Pine Forge Academy Foundation:

• Must the recipient be from a specific conference/region/state/country?



• Should the scholarship be awarded to an incoming freshman, or will sophomores, juniors and seniors be considered?



• Should the scholarship be limited to new students or returning students?



• Will this scholarship be available only to on-campus students or are off-campus students eligible as well?



• Does the recipient have to possess a certain cumulative grade point average?



• How should the recipient be selected?



• Will you want to participate in the selection process?



• Can a prior scholarship recipient be eligible for this scholarship in a sequential year? Please specify any additional criteria.



• Will the recipient be required to be a work-study student?



• Will community service be a required qualification criterion?



• Are letters of recommendation required? If so, from whom? (a teacher, guidance counselor, or principal).



• Will financial need be considered when making this award?



• Will the applicant be required to write a letter of application to be considered for the scholarship?



• Are there any other criteria that the donor wishes to establish?
